Data and methodology

Every figure comes from official manufacturer specification pages. We honor robots.txt and identify our crawler by name. We do not collect or display sale prices or review text.

How scores work

A percentile shows where a figure ranks within its category on a 0 to 100 scale. Use-case scores apply published rules to items such as bay count, network speed, power draw and size. The value score is computed only when the manufacturer lists a price.

CPU tier is our own 1 to 10 rating. We assign it from the CPU model listed on the manufacturer's spec sheet, using rules for each CPU family. Use-case and value scores are likewise our own indexes built from manufacturer specs, not scores issued by the manufacturer.

Store buttons are Amazon Associates and AliExpress affiliate links. We may earn a commission on purchases made through them; commissions do not affect rankings or scores.
